Selected artwork from “There’s No Place Like Home” Documentary website, 1999
The website for the documentary “There’s No Place Like Home,” was also far ahead of its time in a number of ways. The first was even using a website to promote a film, let along a feature documentary. The second was in the use of Flash, a then rarely used software. And the third was the use of additional marketing and “sticky” techniques to keep eyeballs on the website much longer…such as games like “Drag Queen for A Day.”
Take a Look. Even the heels on Dorothy’s shoes clicked to let you enter the site.
